After completing your weltwärts volunteer service, are you eager to do more than just share your story? Would you like to pass on your knowledge, experience, and perspective as a speaker? There are a variety of exciting training opportunities that can support your journey and open new doors. Whether you're looking to become a speaker, facilitator, or multiplier, discover the training options that align with your goals!
As a facilitator with "Education meets Development" (Bildung trifft Entwicklung - BtE), you have the opportunity to make global issues accessible and engaging for people of all ages by incorporating perspectives from the Global South. You’ll learn how to connect your personal experiences from your volunteer service with global development issues, encourage shifts in perspective, and amplify voices from the Global South. BtE will provide you with comprehensive training to effectively convey your message. Qualification, further training, and networking are at the heart of BtE’s educational approach. Through the training program to become a BtE speaker, you’ll develop pedagogical and didactic skills, gain media competencies, and master methods of Global Learning, along with acquiring in-depth knowledge of current development policy topics. A key foundation for your work is the BMZ concept of “Development Education and Information Work.” BtE also provides support in planning and executing your events, connecting you with organizations that share your interests. Additionally, you'll receive comprehensive materials on Global Learning to enhance your educational initiatives.

“Global learning is an educational concept. It is an educational response to the challenges we face as a result of the globalization of all life processes. The aim of global learning is to find common ways to keep our world worth living in. Global learning establishes a connection between global contexts and our own lives and offers answers to the question “What does this have to do with me?”. Global learning highlights opportunities to actively work towards a fairer world. The focus is not only on the negative developments of globalization. Rather, the focus is on new ways of communication, better living conditions and cultural exchange.” Excerpt: Education meets development (2024), Global learning
